The female protagonist, who is on the verge of a promotion, unexpectedly gets trapped in malicious workplace sexual rumors. Xiao Yang, a colleague she previously rejected, harbors resentment and maliciously fabricates rumors that she climbed the ladder through inappropriate relations and had an affair with manager Xiao Zhao. Instead of clarifying the situation, Xiao Zhao accuses her of making a fuss over nothing and tacitly allows the rumors to spread. Facing this malicious smear campaign, the female protagonist refuses to fall into the trap of self-qualification and counter-accuses Xiao Zhao of ulterior motives, pushing both the rumor-monger and the enabler into the spotlight. Turning the tables by making the instigator prove their own innocence, this malicious rumor ultimately results in the rumor-monger facing legal punishment.
